Importing Content to Your Site

You can import content to your site in seconds. 

Here's how to do it:

1) Make sure you have downloaded the content file to your local machine (PC, laptop, Mac, etc). The file will have an .xml extension. For example: content-pack.xml.

2) Login to the dashboard of the site you want to import the content pack into.

3) Navigate to: Extra Options > Import > Run Importer > Choose File > (find the .xml file on your computer and OPEN it) > Upload file and import

4) From the drop-down menu, DO select "Assign posts to an existing user" and choose YOUR username.

5) CHECK the two checkboxes "Download and import file attachments" and " Change all imported URLs that currently link to the previous site so that they now link to this site".

6)  Click "Submit."

IF you get an error saying "Failed to import, Invalid post type" just ignore it. :-)

Done! You should be able to see your new posts under Posts & Pages > Posts.

If the posts appear under "Drafts", you can bulk select them, "Edit" them, set their status to "Published" and then save the settings.
